Alexa Skill "Beyond Words"

The Alexa skill "Beyond Words" plays songs and audio moments when you say a four-digit code from the book. It is intended for adult listeners and is not directed at children under 13.

Voice processing and skill hosting. Your voice requests are processed by Amazon (Alexa) in accordance with Amazon's own privacy notice. The skill's code runs on Amazon's infrastructure. We do not receive voice recordings.

Data received and stored by the skill. The skill receives the code you say and the technical identifiers that Alexa sends with every request, such as a device ID and a pseudonymous user ID. So that the AI notice is played only once, the skill stores your pseudonymous Alexa user ID together with a single marker ("AI notice already played") in a database operated by Amazon (Amazon DynamoDB, as part of Alexa-hosted skills) in the region EU (Ireland). Amazon may also keep technical logs of skill requests and errors. We do not use these identifiers to identify you, and we do not share them.

Audio files and images. When you say a code, the skill instructs your Echo device to play an audio file and, on devices with a screen, to display images. These files are stored on our server at ALL-INKL.COM (see "Hosting") and are retrieved directly by your device. The hosting provider processes technical connection data, such as your IP address and the requested web address, only until the skill is discontinued. We do not store server logs or IP addresses. 

What the skill does not do. The skill does not use account linking, does not collect names, email addresses, or location data, and contains no advertising or in-skill purchases.

AI-Assisted Content

The music, voices, and other audio content in the Alexa skill "Beyond Words" were created wholly or partly with the assistance of artificial intelligence. These elements are part of the creative storytelling concept behind Emma & Chris – The Story of Our Love and complement the books with musical and spoken audio content.

 

Password-Protected Area

Part of this website is password-protected. Access is limited to authorized users.

As part of the access control process, technically necessary data is processed in order to provide access. No additional analysis or profiling takes place.
